24 Hour Telephone Hotline Assistance

The Center for Safety & Change Telephone Crisis Hotline is answered 24 hours/day, seven days/week. During business hours, the Hotline is answered by Center for Safety & Change’s professional staff; at all other times the Hotline is answered by Center for Safety & Change’s specially trained volunteers. Center for Safety & Change’s professional staff or volunteers are always available to answer questions, provide information and referrals, and arrange for advocacy, counseling, and all other Center for Safety & Change services at any time, day or night, 365 days per year.

All calls are kept confidential.

Assistance provided to domestic violence victims via the telephone hotline includes:

  • Immediate crisis intervention
  • Counseling
  • Information
  • Referral services
  • Arrangements in-person counseling, advocacy, and other Center for Safety & Change services at one of our six office locations

All Center for Safety & Change employees and volunteers responsible for providing telephone assistance receive ongoing training on the dynamics of domestic violence and the services available from Center for Safety & Change, including the availability of emergency residential shelter for domestic violence victims, the full range of available Center for Safety & Change services, and community resources.
